Homes in Stockholm turn green

Stockholm's residential homes are greener than ever before thanks to people investing in alternative energy, such as geothermal heat pumps. According to an article in today's Dagens Nyheter (DN), greenhouse gases from residential homes in the city have been reduced by 30 per cent since 2003.

In 2003, an average residential home in Stockholm produced 2.7 tonnes of greenhouse gases. Four years later, in 2007, this figure had been reduced to 1.9 tonnes, and the trend is likely to continue. We should be proud of our neighbours.
